Harrogate North

Girlguiding Harrogate North Division covers the Bilton and Coppice areas of Harrogate together as well as the villages of Birstwith, Dacre, Darley and Hampsthwaite.

Each year our units offer a wide range of activities for their members including popular camps and holidays, outings and trips and the opportunity to try new things which have included sailing, archery and international visits.

Almost 200 members of the Division came together at Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall for a joint celebration of Thinking Day and shared an evening of international dance, activities, food and song.

In Girlguiding Harrogate North and Nidderdale Division many of our members took part in the Centenary opportunities. These included Rainbows visiting a farm, Brownies going to the panto at the Alhambra theatre, Guides spending the day in York and having a giant sleepover, Senior Section visiting York, Fusion at Harewood House and the culmination of a fantastic year with Vision at Newby Hall. The years events were all planned and delivered under the leadership and enthusiasm of our County Centenary Champion – a Leader from Harrogate North and Nidderdale – well done Nicola!

Now, we are looking forward to building on the successes of previous years and are excited by the new opportunities we can develop over the next 100 years. If you would like to join in the fun in North and Nidderdale, why not join us or contact us?
