Time: 10:30am – 4pm

Where: 1^st Knaresborough Scout Hut, Wetherby Road, Knaresborough (Parents/carers to provide transport to/from the venue)

What to wear: Guide uniform, trainers and bring a packed lunch

What is it: Guides need to plan and lead a ‘TaskMaster’ type activity for all other attendees to carry out. The challenge is to lead a task/series of tasks (lasting 20 minutes) for others to do. You will need to plan your activity, fully resource it, lead it on the day (they join in with everyone else’s challenges) and prepare a Risk Assessment – think about “how can we do this safely” and “what can go wrong” (See Information and consent form for further details of how to do this)

Cost: £10 per Guide.

Please note:

• This is open to any Guide aged approx. 13/14 who has completed all the other requirements and just has the Gold Challenge left to do.
• All bookings, activity details, Risk Assessments and consent forms must be sent by 10th November to allow the organisers to review and update the main event Risk Assessment.
