With the removal of adult subscriptions this year, please check the subscription predictor on Go under Subscriptions. There is financial support available at county and some of your districts and divisions may be able to provide support too. Speak to your commissioner if you need financial help with subscriptions - but please do this early rather than waiting until February!
Please refresh your unit risk assessment, although it doesn't need to be checked by your commissioner, it does need to reflect the needs of your unit. All of your leadership team (including young leaders) should be familiar with it. It exists to help and protect you so please don't think of it as a chore, see it as a useful support tool for you to run your unit.
Now is a good time to remind parents that they can log onto Go and update their contact details and other helpful information about their child.
It's also worth checking with the rest of your leadership team if they are all up to date too, and noting if anyone is going to need to do First Response, DBS or Safer Guiding in the next few months.
Remember that while some parents will want to purchase new uniform for their daughter, it is not mandatory to move into the new uniform and that if you currently support lower income families with a second-hand uniform option, please continue to do so.
