Rainbows are the youngest section in Girlguiding UK and are aged 5-7 years old.

We have our own uniform of red trousers or shorts and a jacket with a pale blue shirt and our own Promise; “I Promise that I will do my best to think about my beliefs and to be kind and helpful”.

We play games, do crafts, and do challenge badges, usually as a group rather than as individuals.

We have our own programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw, based on the four areas Look, Learn, Laugh and Love.

We also have our own badges called Rainbow Roundabout Badges, which cover healthy eating and keeping fit, international festivals and world-wide Guiding, where we learn about Rainbows in other countries, so the girls know they are part of a world-wide organisation.

Rainbows enjoy Safari at Broughton Hall

The big news has to be the fantastic Safari Day at Broughton Hall organised by the County Rainbow Adviser and her team. Rainbows spent the day trying a variety of activities including face painting, circus skills and an activity trail. The weather was fabulous and allowed everyone to stay outside for a picnic lunch.
